Invitation from Congress Chair
SASOG congresses are highlights in the lives of obstetricians and gynaecologists,
not only from South Africa, but also for those from outside the country attending
them. It is a time of meeting with old friends, making new friends, learning from
colleagues and the trade, and to relax for a while. The next congress in a long
series of formidable congresses is the 2012 SASOG congress at the Champagne Sports
Resort in the magnificent Drakensberg mountains from 6 - 10 May 2012. It is indeed
a great pleasure for the hosting Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University
of the Free State, to extend a warm welcome to you for attending this congress.
Every SASOG congress is an improvement on the previous one, and this challenge promises
to make SASOG 2012 an unforgettable experience. Not only will the lovely autumn
colours decorate the scene, but we are aiming for a high academic standard in a
setting with excellent facilities. We also extend an invitation to doctors with
hobbies to display it at the congress. This will add to the variety provided by
the congress and is variety not the spice of life?
We are looking forward to meeting you in the Drakensberg, trusting that it will
